Road construction rescheduled due to bad weather

The following is a news release from the Pima County Department of Transportation:

Final paving operations on the La Cañada: Ina Road to Calle Concordia project will continue.

Due to weather conditions, the paving of the La Cañada/Magee intersection has been rescheduled for Friday, Aug. 19 at 7pm.

Although there was not much damage reported from Thursday's rain, there were some impressive rainfall totals.

Ina Road re-opened to traffic

Marana Police report that Ina Road has re-opened. 

The only restrictions currently are the intersections of Ina/Old Father and Ina/Meredith.

Possible archery course for Naranja park

The residents of Oro Valley are invited to attend an open house event Thursday at Town Hall on the possibilty of an archery course at Naranja Park, Town officials stated.

The Town wants your input and Town officials as well as local archers will be at the event to answear all your questions.

Oro Valley suicidal woman bitten by sheriff's canine

ORO VALLEY, AZ (KOLD) - A woman who threatened to commit suicide was bitten by a Pima County Sheriff's Department canine Tuesday.

Deputies responded to a home in the 11000 block of North Robi Place, near Tangerine and 1st Avenue, after a family friend called 911.

When officers arrived, they heard two shots fired from inside the house.

Crews fixing storm damage on Ina Road

(KOLD) - Crews are working to restore fallen power lines along Ina Road Wednesday after a brief but intense storm ripped through the area Tuesday.

Ina Road remains restricted to one lane from Camino de la Cruz to Shannon Road as crews reconstruct the poles holding the lines.
