Time is running out to vote for your favorite 'Poster dog' for PACC | Community Spirit
The time has come for the public to vote on Pima Animal Care Center’s new poster dog. Have you voted yet?
PACC will use the winner for a licensing campaign, to help remind pet owners that licensing helps protect their pets.
A license helps reunite owners with their pets if they ever get loose; in addition the fee for a license ($15 a year for a dog that has been spayed/neutered) helps PACC to do their job protecting animals from cruelty, by providing funds for shelter of strays and responding to dog bite calls.
The Pima County Sheriff’s Department has chosen the five finalists – they are the following: Laila, Checkers, Chaps, Neil and Oliver.
Those interested in voting can go online to http://www.pima.gov/vote and read up on each dogs story, then cast a vote for their favorite.
PACC wants to remind everyone voting that they can only do so once, and that the deadline for voting is midnight May 5.
